The NRL Pick’Em Weekly 4 competition (“Competition”) is open to permanent residents or citizens of Australia aged 18 years or over only.
The Promoter is Sportsbet Pty Limited (ACN 162 554 707) whose registered office is located at Level 17, 367 Collins St, Melbourne, Victoria, 3000 (Promotor).
Directors and employees of Promotor and its related bodies corporate, their immediate families, and anyone else directly associated with the Competition are excluded from entering the Competition.
Directors and employees of the NRL, and its related bodies corporate, their immediate families, and anyone else directly associated with the Competition are excluded from entering the Competition.
Individuals who are self-excluded (or excluded by Sportsbet) from wagering with Sportsbet are ineligible to enter the Competition and prohibited from winning any Prizes.
The Promoter reserves the right to request proof of identity, proof of Australian residency status at the nominated prize delivery address. Acceptance of proof of eligibility is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that an entrant cannot provide proof, their entry will be deemed invalid.
*Immediate Family means any of the following: spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, brother, sister, step-brother or step-sister.
The Competition consists of rounds. The rounds are consistent with rounds of the 2022 National Rugby League Season weekly and as advertised by the Promoter from 7 March 2022 until the end of the NRL season (being no later than 1 December 2022) (Rounds) unless the Promoter starts or ends the term of the Competition at a later or earlier date, subject to providing the applicable regulator with prior notice.
For each Round, the Promoter will publish the nominated games for that Round and open entries by no later than 11:59pm AEDT or AEST (whichever applies) on the date one day prior to the start of the first nominated game for the relevant Round.
Entries must be submitted for each Round via the NRL Pick’Em Weekly 4 website or app (collectively, the “Entry Points”) and must be submitted by the time and date nominated on the Entry Points before each Round. Each Round selections will be locked at the nominated start time for each match. Players will be afforded the opportunity to change selections for matches [up to 1x minutes] prior to the nominated start times.
To enter the Competition:
By opening a Game Account the entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any information published at the Entry Points about the Competition which form part of these Terms and Conditions. Once you open a Game Account, your identity must be verified within 14 days prior to receiving any prize. If your identification is not verified within 14 days, the Promoter reserves the right to suspend your Game Account and you will be unable to enter the Competition or collect any prize until your identity has been verified. The Promotor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant who the Promotor reasonably believes has breached any of these Terms and Conditions or any requirements published at the Entry Points.
The Competition is a Free To Play game. You do not need a Sportsbet account in order to participate in the Competition.
If you unsubscribe from receiving marketing communications from the Promoter or the NRL after registering a Game Account, your entries into the Competition will remain valid and you will still be eligible to win prizes.
Select the winning team and winning margin range for each of the four games selected by the Promoter for the applicable Round (the “Picks”). After an entrant has submitted their Picks the Promoter may allow that entrant to edit their Picks until the nominated close time for each match of the Competition (but not afterwards). Entries cannot be change after close times.
Entrants will also be required to pick the time of the first try for a nominated game (First Try). This will be used to determine the Consolation Prize Winner in the event the NRL Pick’Em Weekly 4 Prize is not won in any given Round.
Entry to the Competition is free. Internet or data charges may apply (check with your internet service provider or mobile network).
Only one entry is allowed per person, per Competition (multiple Competitions may be run each week at the Promoter’s discretion), unless otherwise determined by the Promoter from time to time subject to any approvals required from an applicable regulator.
If the Promoter believes that any one person has made or may have made more than one entry to a Round, the Promoter may disqualify all entries the Promoter believes have been made by that person. If the Promoter believes any one person has or may have created more than one registration for any Competition the Promoter may block all such additional registrations and disqualify the person from submitting future entries to the Competition.
When assessing whether to disqualify any entries on the grounds that the maximum number of entries per person may have been exceeded, the Promoter may - at its discretion - base its decision on the entrant’s email address, name, IP address or any other information, data, variables or factors.
The Competition consists of Rounds. For each Round the “NRL Pick’Em Weekly 4” Prize will be a minimum of $10,000 and a maximum of $1,000,000.
The Promoter, in its sole discretion, will nominate the exact value of the NRL Pick’Em Weekly 4 prize pool for each Round on the Entry Points by the opening time for the Round (see ‘How to enter’ above). The prize amount for each Round will be clearly communicated by the Promoter on the Entry Points.
The NRL Pick’Em Weekly 4 Prize will be won by the entrant who correctly selects the winning team and correct margin range from each of the four nominated games for that Round. If more than one entrant correctly selects all four games and margin range (“NRL Pick 4 Tied Entrants”), the NRL Pick 4 Weekly Prize for that Round will be split and shared equally between the NRL Pick 4 Tied Entrants.
If no entrant selects the winning team and margin range in all four nominated games for the Round then the NRL Pick 4 Weekly Prize will not be awarded for that Round, and instead a Consolation Prize (as defined below) will be awarded.
If any of the NRL matches in a Round is cancelled or delayed to a date after the Round, the Promoter reserves the right to not award a NRL Pick’Em Weekly 4 Prize for that Round. If any of the games which are nominated for a given Round are abandoned, postponed or not completed for any reason, or if a single winning team and margin range is not officially identified for any of those nominated Games for any reason, as per NRL official results, the game will (at the Promoter’s discretion) be considered void (“Void Games”). If for any Round there is one Void Game then there will be no NRL Pick’Em Weekly 4 for that Round.
In the event the NRL Pick’Em Weekly 4 Prize is not awarded, a consolation prize will be awarded to the best performing entrant (“Consolation Prize”). The amount of the Consolation Prize will be publicised by the Promoter for each Round and will be a minimum of $5,000.
The best performing entrant will be determined based on the following Points Criteria:
Correct Winner: 1 point
Correct Winner & Margin range: 5 points
If two or more entrants perform equally well according to the above points criteria, the winner of the Consolation Prize will be determined by who accurately tipped (or was the closest to accurately tipping) the time of the First Try. If more than one entrant still perform equally (i.e. are equal on points and are tied in respect of the time of the First Try) those entrants will each be considered a winner (“Consolation Tied Entrants”). Each of the Consolation Tied Entrants will win and be awarded an equal share of the relevant Consolation Prize.
If for any Round there is one Void Game then there will be no NRL Pick’Em Weekly 4 for that Round, but there will still be a Consolation Prize provided the applicable conditions are met. If for any Round there are two or more Void Games, then the Competition will be deemed cancelled and no prizes awarded.
If any of the NRL matches in a Round is cancelled or delayed to a date after the Round, the Promoter reserves the right to not award a Consolation Prize for that Round.
The Entrant who accumulates the most points based on the Points Criteria across all Rounds in the Competition Season will be awarded the NRL Pick 4 Champion and will win the NRL Pick 4 Champion Prize.
The NRL Pick 4 Champion does not need to enter every Round in the Competition to qualify for the NRL Pick’Em Weekly 4 Champion Winner Prize.
A NRL Pick’Em Weekly 4 Championship leader board displaying the current Points for each entrant will be displayed within the Game.
Where multiple entrants are tied on the same amount of Points the winner will be determined by the entrant who selected the most correct Winning Margins across the Competition Season.
Where multiple entrants are tied on the same amount of Points and have selected the same amount of correct Winning Margins across the Competition Season, the entrant who submitted entries in the most Rounds, will be determined the NRL Pick’Em Weekly 4 Champion Winner.
The overall NRL Pick’Em Weekly 4 Champion Winner will receive $10,000.
Additional prizes may be introduced at the discretion of the Promoter. These will be in addition to the prizes outlined above. In the event that additional prizes are introduced, the Promoter will publish, in accordance with the approval of any applicable regulator, any additional terms and conditions as they may be applicable.
Note: If the prize or receipt of it incurs any tax liability whatsoever, the winner is liable for payment of such tax.
The winning entrants for each Round will be selected in accordance with these terms and conditions, and within ten (10) business days of completion of the last nominated game for each Round.
The names of winners will be published on the Entry Points within 28 days of the relevant Competition.
Winners will be notified by email and telephone details registered on their Game Account within 28 days of confirmed winner selection. It is each entrant’s sole responsibility to ensure that their contact details are up to date.
Winners will be required to verify (with evidence satisfactory to the Promoter) their age, identity, residence and other requested verification information to the satisfaction of the Promoter before they are eligible to receive a prize. Any public announcement (including on the Entry Points) will be pending verification unless otherwise stated and should not be considered final confirmation.
If a winning entrant is not able, for any reason to accept a prize, verify their registration information to the satisfaction of the Promoter or has been found to have breached these terms and conditions by the Promoter then the entrant will be disqualified, and the prize will be forfeited.
If a winner of any prize (or any part of a NRL PickEm Weekly 4 Prize) cannot be contacted in accordance with the time period for winner contact set out above, or for any reason does not accept the prize, then that prize (or that part of the NRL PickEm Weekly 4 Prize) will be held by the Promoter for a further 90 day period in the case of the Weekly Prize and Consolation Prize and for one week for the NRL PickEm Weekly 4 Champion. If by the end of such period the Promoter has still been unable to contact the relevant winner or the winner has not accepted the prize for any other reason, that prize will be forfeited.
Where a prize has been forfeited, substitute winners will be determined and relevant portion of the prize pool awarded in accordance with these terms and conditions as if the entrant who has forfeited their prize did not submit a valid entry.
Prizes will be paid via bank transfer to a bank account nominated by the winner within 28 days of the completed forms being returned to Sportsbet. The bank account provided must be held in the name of the winner. The winner is solely responsible for providing the correct bank details to the Promoter. If the winner cannot provide a bank account held directly in his or her own name upon request within 28 days of completed form of being asked to do so by the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify the winner, in which case any prize will be forfeited.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility if the winner provides incorrect bank details or the payment process is not properly completed by or on behalf of the winner.
